Hey John,

If I could I would buy every single piece of art that you produce, but I'm sadly a poor struggling artist with not much to show for it. I love the Ashton and Demi caricature, it perfectly captures their pretentious creepiness!!

Great stuff!! Yeah I'll totally be taking you up on that! Your work is really amazing John, AND inspiring!

That Macaulkie Culkin and Eva Longoria pic is so incredibly good John. You really captured the expressions in these two more perfectly than I can ever remember seeing anywhere else.

When Can we see more about Ed Benedict?

Will you draw Stimpy having sex with Paris Hilton for $100?

I love your drawing...all of it; but seriously--NO ONE wants to own a MacCaulay Culkin caricature, not even one by you. That's not about the caricature, which is genius, Someone suggested a while back that you do a caricature of Clampett--why not? Or your take on Bugs? Or Daffy? or(much much better)Kirk, Mitchum, Marilyn, Bogart? 100 bucks is dirt cheap for a John K., but it's too much for most people for a Jennifer Lopez or "Demi". they're losers.

I swear people would fight over a doodle of any of the greats. Think it over!

$100 for a caricature, eh? Mother's Day is coming up.

That Macaulay Culkin is priceless.

Can I trade you for one of my caricatures?

I concur - that Caulkin is great.

Brilliant caricatures, as usual...

Eva Longoria is BEAUTIFUL! She's gotta be the most beautiful women on tv right now. Her and Mischa Barton. At least in the face.

1. Maculey Caulkin, Eva Longoria
2. Pamela Aderson, Lindsay Lohan, J-Lo
3. Justin Timberlake times two
4. Demi Moore, AShton Kutcher

Johnnn, why not sell sketches of cartoon characters instead of caricatures? :c

You're killin' me, maann.

P.S. Anonymous' request is pretty much hilarious & I can assure you it wasn't me who wrote it.

I think $100 bucks is dirt cheap, I'm not even 1/16th as fluid, practiced, educated and certainly not famous. Locally I have not been commissioned for anything less than $200.

I would love to have you draw my daughter and will be putting in a request soon (beg. of May)

That is, if your offer is still good.
Thanks, your a pal.

Hey Aimee

you're back!

I thought I might have offended you with my blasphemous stories or something!

Anonymous said...

that might be strictly true, about not being able to draw "other studios'" characters--but isn't there a "fair use" thing--which is why people can reinterpret Disney and Nintendo and other copyrighted stuff, as at the recent gallery shows? I seriously doubt any studio would come after you for doing "your" bugs bunny. What the hell! give it a shot.

I just don't understand.
I'd receive much more enjoyment from a caricature of a 'loser' than from another rehashed cartoon character.
That's part of the fun of caricature! Making unmasking the losers!
Besides, I see plenty of Looney Tunes interpretations every day on mud flaps, vinyl stickers and bags of saturated fat!

By the way, John - I heard you got in trouble at work way back for having too much fun with some likenesses.
Some people just don't appreciate good humor!

Great pics.

I have a question regarding the music in Ren & Stimpy.

I understand that the show uses a lot of well-known classical music. I'm wondering if there was a classically-trained music crew involved with choosing the pieces, or if it was just you. In fact, I'm curious if there was a music crew at all.

I'm honestly just trying to suck out as much information about the music in the show as possible. I'm very interested in the choice of classical pieces and the main theme as well. I hope you don't mind feeding my music brain. I'm trying to get into that kind of business.

Um, yeah, but those are NOT drawn by John K. That's the point. ; )

These were the best group yet in my opinion, nice work

Yeah, you should charge more. I get like a million dollars a drawing, and I do most of mine stinking drunk on cocktail napkins! Sometimes with me foot- my right foot.

But I'd gladly toss some money your way if I could.

I love that Culkin one. Man, his face looks broken these days and of course, you nailed it. And the pencil-shaving beards on those other Hollywood studs.

>>Hey Aimee, you're back...

I've just been behind the scenes. I take in everything, look at everything; use what I can and comment only when I have something to say. It's all very intersting...

I'm a fan, who has been busy trying to take the wobbly next steps to become better at drawing.

Maybe you'll visit my blog and give lend me you're critial eye?

Hey, when you were drawing Justin Timberlake, were you 'naked by the end of that sketch'? ;) (hee hee, I couldn't resist that one).

She drew you, John! It's a good likeness, too. My cariacturs fo you aren't exagerrated enough, and they don't look like you..

I don't understand. That's what Macauley looks like. Shuldn't you have exaggerated him somewhat? Only joking.

I'm a big fan of ren and stimpy! I think it's definitely the best cartoon that has ever been made! I love the character ren and me and my boyfriend immitate him and laugh about him all the time. If I had a characature of me and my boyfriend from you John I would cherish it for the rest of my life!
